Balancing life, family and money: Netwealth joins The Times Wealth Management Forum
Reviewed by Sarah Davies, Netwealth | 18 September 2026
Continuing its ongoing association with one of the industry's annual highlights, Netwealth is taking part in the Wealth Management Forum, a free online event hosted by The Times and The Sunday Times on Wednesday 23 September 2026, running from 2.45pm. The programme examines a problem facing a growing number of UK households: how to support ageing parents and adult children while still building financial security for yourself. Four members of the Netwealth team feature across the afternoon, including Founder and CEO Charlotte Ransom. Registration is open now.
What the forum covers
The afternoon opens with a look at why so many households feel financially stretched despite earning well, with contributions from Times data editor Tom Calver, senior money reporter Megan Harwood-Baynes, and Lord Willetts, whose book The Pinch examines how wealth has shifted between generations.
From there the programme moves through four themes: the pressures on the so-called sandwich generation, the practical starting points for regaining control of your finances, the difficult family conversations that surround gifting and inheritance, and the tendency to treat pensions as a problem for later.
Where Netwealth features
Charlotte Ransom joins financial journalist Robin Powell and Times money psychotherapist Vicky Reynal to discuss intergenerational giving, covering both the conversation with parents about their wealth and the decisions about passing it on. She also closes the event with a summary of practical actions attendees can take.
Matt Conradi, Deputy CEO and Head of Advisory and Client Proposition, leads a session on where to begin when your finances feel unmanageable, working through anonymised client scenarios to show the first practical steps. He returns later to challenge the assumption that a good financial plan has to be a complicated one.
Rachel Willox, Netwealth's COO, joins the panel on the sandwich generation alongside Black Girl Finance founder Selina Flavius and author Claire Gillman, discussing the trade-offs facing people caring for two generations at once.
Tom Kimche, Netwealth's Head of Advice, appears on the pensions panel with Times deputy money editor Rachel Mortimer, Boring Money founder Holly Mackay, and Times columnist Tom McPhail, looking at how modest habits established now can materially change retirement outcomes.
Times Radio presenter Rick Kelsey hosts throughout.
